Have been obsessing about Lebanese food for weeks now...

...but can't blooming well get any down here in Devon. What I really really fancy is a lovely stone-baked flat bread filled with grilled chicken, hummus, those long yellow pickled peppers and garlic mayonnaise. Yum yum, slaver...

Am even fantasizing about getting on a train to Paddington and going up to the Euston Road to get some, ffs.

Just need to organise a marketing trip to London....

Yum!

Not Lebanese, but tried a recipe that was on the Greek Ladies threads. Feta cheese, yoghurt and chillis. It was fabulous!

Tabuleh is easy enough to make as most Sainsbury's/Tescos has bulghar wheat...

Where's good in London for Lebanese food?

There's a whole Lebanese/ northern african bit on the Euston Road near the Hilton. Yum. Just around the corner from Paddington station.

Can you try making it yourself? There seem to be quite a lot of recipes for the sort of bread you describe and maybe yellow bell peppers, sliced and fried in a teensy bit of oil to soften would do instead of the pickled ones?

I might be able to get those special peppers in Lidl actually, now I think about it, and Sainsbury's spicy moroccan hummus would do just fine. Must try to make the right sort of bread, which could be a little tricky. I just need to start assembling the ingredients.
