Hi, This is my first pregnancy so just wanted to share whats going on and have a winge.
I am 5+3 weeks pregnant and have been having light pains in my lower abdomen. Had some v v light spotting, so was sent for a early scan yesterday.
They wouldn't scan me as im too early, and my gp had given them the wrong dates. Did pick up a UTI though, which apparently explains the pain!
I thought the pain was normal in early pregnancy, but turns out it was the UTI after all, so on horse pill sized antibiotics now. Pain had increased to kidney pain and back pain yesterday, I'm very sleepy and washed out, don't know why i was just working through it really.
Back for a scan on Monday, its hard enough having a full bladder without the UTI making me want to wee every five mins, so worried about that. How much to drink and how long before?
The pregnancy malarky isnt what its cracked up to be so far!
What can I expect from my scan? I will be 6 weeks.
Anyone else have a UTI during early pregnancy?
