Hello

I am 38 weeks and have GD, well controlled by diet, not on insuline.

I am a bit worried because I expected to be more controlled at this stage even though my sugar levels are fine with the diet, I think being seen every two weeks is not enough!

Anyway, have any of you had GD and been induced at 40 weeks ? is it true they don't let you go over due date even though you are not on insuline? I am worried baby will be too big as they won't scan me after 36 weeks!

If your sugar levels are well controlled then why would you want to be seen more often? It's not like they actually do anything when they see you is it?!

I had GD with ds, diagnosed at 17 weeks, and controlled throughout by diet. I went in for induction at 40+5 (hospital policy was not normally to go over 40 weeks, but they let me pick a day to suit myself up to 40+7), but it took a while for anything to work, so ds was born at 40+9.
