I am 17 weeks pg and today my DD has just broken out in chicken pox. I am 100% sure that I had chicken pox as a child, but there is still some underlying worrying. Is there anything I need to do?
Many thanks.

I had this happen so I mentioned it to the GP (I rang and asked them to pass on a message asking for advice). I was told that they can do something early on and something late on but nothing in the middle IYSWIM and I just had to hope for the best. I have since been told that it is the opposite of what I was told.... If I were you I would either ring your GP or midwife, choose the one who's advice you have found to be most reliable in the past!

(Everything was fine BTW!)

DD had chicken pox when I was about 4 months gone with ds. I had had them as a child but the nurse did a blood test anyway which came back clear. I think it's only a problem if you havent had them.

Thanks for replying. I'll phone and ask the GP/MW tomorrow. My mum has confirmed that I have had Chicken Pox before.
