12 week scan in 1 hour. I hope I don't wet myself

It says on the letter I have to drink 6 glasses of water one hour before. That's now.

I am going to be bursting!

I had this problem with dd. and when they presssed on my tummy I nearly had an accident. I was told to go and have a wee and let only a little bit out . I couldn't do this and just emptied it all .

She wasn't too happy with me and I had to have an internal scan.

Anyway, this time the letter says , if the bladder is not full enough they may re book the scan

I didn't think you had to anymore? I always drink on the way (until I was told it wasn't needed), or there as there is usually a wait.

Well last time I didn't start drinking too early as I was worried I wouldn' be able to hold it. And they said I hadn't started drinking early eough. They could tell!

6 glasses is ridiculous. I had a pint of water half an hour beforehand and that was a little too much.

Bloomin' heck. Is it a big place? Do you know how likely you are to wait? Sounds like torture!

It's quite big. I really hope I don't have to wait.

Last time I was in agony. It was stupid.

I have drunk a glass of lemon squash so far. In one of those coca cola glasses. Not sure of the size.

Right off now, wish me luck.....!!!!

I hope there's something actually in there.

How did it go?

I learned after my early scan with first pregnancy not to bother drinking anything until I actually got to the place. They always run late, 30-40 minutes normally!

Hope it went ok. I remember it well I had no idea how much to drink so I googled it Drank 1.5 pints an hour beforehand and the sonographer said she'd never seen a bladder as big . She told me to go and let half of it out. How TF was I supposed to know how much half a bladder was??? I was on the loo trying to mentally measure .75 of a pint!

I was bursting! And was worried about having an accident while I was walking to the hospital! Was better sitting down...
Only had to wait a little while.

They were scanning for ages. A trainee had a go first then the other lady. They made me go for a walk and then come back so I had a double scan! I was allowed to wee in the gap thank goodness.

Glad it went ok

I always do it 30 minutes before because often you have to wait anyway.....good luck
