can anyone share a similar experience with me, feeling very blue. Am 7 weeks 3 days and have already had a little spotting early on and so assumed it was over, but HCG was rising and 2 weeks later we saw baby and heartbeat. Then had more spotting 2 days after this scan, so had another today and still ok- AND has grown, but still have spotting. They can't explain it. What is going on? I didnt have this in first pregnancy with my son. Am I heading for a M/C? Feel so down.....

bump-anyone?think you could still be OK ,bled quite a bit with one of mine-would suggest you rest up and get checked when you can ---best of luck

Some people do bleed through pregnancy and never find out why. You say spotting - so sounds like very small quantity and no clots? That's a good sign, as is the fetus growing and seeing a heartbeat is a fantastic sign BUT nobody can tell you it's definately going to be ok. The chances are good but nothing is 100%. Hoping for the best for you.

thanks ladies. i have been checked today maddylou, and that was when we saw it had grown and HB was fine. Am so confused. NLurker- yes, very small quantity- was both times, but first was seen away from sac and they thought it could be a tear- but no clue as to where this one came from. Did have vaginal scan last thursday (tummy one today) but started spotting sunday, so doubt it has any connection to that.
thanks for replies... anyone else?

I bled from 4+4 to 11 weeks if that is any help. I also had two scans and everything appeared fine. They never found a reason for the bleeding, until after it had stopped when I was told I had a heamotoma .

I was told by the EPU that it 'must be implantation bleeding' and eventually sent my merry way! I feel for you though, I dreaded going to the toilet. I'm now 39 weeks btw.

I think that you need to remember that if a hb has been seen at 7+3 then you are at much lower risk of MC than someone who isn't bleeding and hasn't had a scan.

Hi there
I bled between weeks 6 - 17 with my last pregnancy and everything was fine, no reason for the spotting was ever given. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and have already had 4 days of spotting. I am due to have my first scan on wed but have been told that as long as there is no pain not to worry too much, which is easier said than done. I spend my life going to the loo, just to check!

I had 6 week spotting with my first, just assumed that as I still felt sick, had no pain and nothing more than spotting would be ok. I was. I didn't ask for a scan as felt that at 6 weeks if they couldn't see it didn't mean it was not there and might worry me more.

No spotting with first pregnancy until the day of the miscarriage at 7+1.

Spotting during second pregnancy at 9 weeks, now at 20 weeks and everything is ok.

Spotting in itself isn't bad, loads of women have it. If you get pain and cramping, then you should contact an EPU.
