Hi, just wanted to leave a message introducing myself. Expecting my first child in September and very excited!! DH (trying to get used to these acronyms!!) is over the moon, even though it was a bit of a surprise!!

Have joined Mumsnet as I am feeling quite lonely with the pregnancy, as none of my friends are and I also have a few friends and family who have been trying for quite a while (sister-in-law has had IVF twice and failed both times )so although very happy also feel a bit guilty for it to happen so easily for us, as well as incredibly lucky!

Feel that MN is going to be a lovely way for me to find like minded people who are going through similar experiences to me.

Sorry, also realised I haven't put a thread title in, can only blame the hormones for complete dappyness!! Hopefully will still get some comments!!

Oh you have so come to the right place ! there will be a thread for ladies due in September - I think they are in "ante natal clubs" - you will find lots of mums to be who are at the same stage as you and any problem you have (hopefully none but any niggles) someone will always be able to advise you.

I had my baby last September and this place was a lifeline for me .

congratulations

Congratulations!!! I had my baby last September too. When I was first pg I didn't now anyone else who was, and like you, a few who had been trying for ages. MN is great in the virtual world and was fab for me when i was ill at the start of my pg. Then I went to some ante natal classes, aquanatal classes and lots of baby group activity things once he was born, and now I know loads of mums with babies around the same age as my little one and I wonder how I ever had time to go to work. Being a Mummy rocks, I truly love it, and am making the most of it until I have to go back to work in September.

Thanks, I really can't wait, I've been looking for some groups to be able to join, unfortunately they all seem to be in the day and I work full time, so I will have to wait until maternity leave, although want to try and work as close to due date as possible so to get more time with the baby.

Feel so much better already just knowing that I'm not alone and have somewhere to come and talk to people and find things out!
