Ok tested 26th March positive wasn t sure as id left it for evap line so tested again positive. tested again 27th digi test not pregnant, normal test later that day positive.
Started bleeding that afternoon turned into red blood assumed wasn't heavy light/med and passed 3 smallish clots so assumed i was miscarrying..... A week later boobs started feeling sore and bigger couple days ago, tested this morning and almost straight away pregnant 2-3 on digital test.

So im not sure if im pregnant or not!? Im figuring if digi test said not pregnant on the 27th March, if i was miscarrying the hcg levels would have dropped within a week and i'd test not pregnant??

Any ideas anyone? Has anyone else had this and gone on to be not pregnant? It would make me 5 weeks pregnant. Thanks for any advice.

don't know, no expert, but sounds like you are - could it have been an implantation bleed?

could have been, midwife gave advice on phone said it could have been implantation. will see what Dr says this week. thanks teapot

thanks muffin yep i know it can take more than a week. The digi test i took before i started bleeding said not pregnant and i started bleeding the next day. Will wait and see what the Dr says when i see him this week. Thanks

will do teapot tested again this morning concious of HCG levels lowering anf BFP straight away which is now 10 days since i had started bleeding so im very hopeful

Perhaps you had two eggs fertilised and one didn't take, which would explain the bleed and clots? I think it sounds like you're still pg though, congratulations!

that would/could make sense as my DH have twins on both side of the family im a twin and his mother was a twin. Lets wait and see.

IIRC the tendency to have twins comes through the female line, so if you're a twin it's more likely it came from you (if that's what it was) rather than your dh. Are you identical? I think non identical twins are genetically passed on (ie the fact that you ov twice, or ov two eggs is inherited). Identical twins is a random act of the egg splitting and isn't passed along family lines.

hiya yes im identical as was his mother i believe. The Dr's have fit me in this morning with a lady Dr which is great.

ok back saw GP who said its not 'normal' practice to test HCG levels id have to go to EPU. She said it sounds like HCG levels are rising if digital test said positive saterday, another positive this morning but i need to go to EPU tommorrow and have a scan hopefully will know more by then. She said if i am pregnant id be 6 weeks Wednesday.

Hopefully the EPU will do your bloods too. Whenever I've been to our EPU they've always kind of done the scan as a routine, but they are much more interested in the hCG results as at 6 weeks you can often not see anything on a scan and the only definitive answer you can get is from bloods. Good luck at the EPU though, hope it's good news.

morning all just got home sad
Basically they could see nothing on the scan no sac or anything so said it could be to early to tell. Womb lining looks either like its getting ready to do its thing, or not, they cant say. She said it certainly doesnt look like a 6 week pregnancy etc etc. Have been told by the nurse that it may be that I am pregnant but its still to early to see, or that I did miscarry and thats why the test is showing BFP.
Been advised to test again in a weeks time, and then in 2 weeks if i can wait that long and go back in for a scan.
Bit disappointed as was really hoping to have known either way today. The test i did yesterday which was BFP was so clear, much clearer than the first lot of tests i did. I asked if my cervix was closed etc and they didn't answer, but then it was a scan rather than an internal examination hmm
DH and I have decided we know something is going on because of the boobs being tender (seems constant now and all over) and also i've gone of marmite!? Whether thats anything i really don't know. If the digi test was correct it said 2-3 so it may be just to early to know/see but i assumed i would have been able to at least see a sac or something today!?.
Its not looking good is it! sad

iateallthecreameggsyummy - not sure if what happened to me will help you. I went for an early scan at what the midwife thought was 7 weeks when i went for the scan they couldn't see anything but an empty sac and warned me to prepare to miscarry. After 2 weeks and blood tests the baby was there with a heartbeat and I'm now 30 weeks pregant with a girl. It could be, like you said, that it was way too early to tell, even days at that stage in pregnancy can make all the difference in the development of the baby.

Reason for telling you this is please dont give up hope, esp if more symptoms are showing i have everything crossed for you x

thanks lauraloo but they didn't even see a sac. Digi test said 2/3 i will have to wait till next week now to test again. In a way i want more symptoms so i can believe i am still pregnant.

Sorry you didn't get any conclusive proof today iate..... as lauraloo said, don't give up hope yet. If you're getting increasingly strong bfp's for me that would be a glimmer of hope to cling to. I hope you get some more positive news next week.
