Fairly soon if it's a kicker. Are you feeling much yet?

Tee2072 · 03/04/2009 11:54

My DH just felt it this week and I am 28 weeks. Our baby would kick me so hard I could see it, he'd rush over, the baby would stop moving! But this week he felt it!

suwoo · 03/04/2009 11:55

My DH has never felt any of my 3 move- he hates it. miserable bastard

brettgirl2 · 03/04/2009 11:56

My husband felt baby moving at 'early 20s' weeks - he was 'listening' through my tummy and the baby started deliberately kicking him in the head. It was really quite funny

This baby is very active, but seems to stop everytime he puts his hand on me. I'll get him to keep trying :-)

heh thanks Suwoo, mine too

chaya5738 · 03/04/2009 12:03

Mine felt the baby at 24 weeks and could also see it kick through my t-shirt.

Why do people's DPs hate to feel it? Do they think it is creepy or something?

Mine is fascinated by it and it gives him a chance to bond with the baby, I think.

toomuchpicknmix · 03/04/2009 12:09

he doesn't hate it exactly, I think yes finds it a bit weird and only feels sometimes. although he doesn't mind seeing it but we rarely catch that cos baby stops as soon as I tell him to look. Bah.

suwoo · 03/04/2009 12:27

Mine does really hate it. He even moves away from me in bed in case the baby should inadvertantly kick him .

I remember how much he loved DS the 2nd he was born and I said, that was the baby that you didn't want to feel moving. He still wasn't bothered

suwoo · 03/04/2009 12:28

second he was born not bloody 2nd!

Disenchantegg3 · 03/04/2009 12:30

Awwwwwwww

Why do threads like this make me miss pregnancy? when i hated every frigging minute of it last time?

toomuchpicknmix · 03/04/2009 12:31

hehe again, that will be my DP- he v happy about baby and he will be unrepentant forever about not bonding with bump

IrishMaeve · 03/04/2009 12:38

My other half loves resting his hand on my bump and feeling the various kicks and movements. We often do it late at night before we go to sleep. I think its great for him to feel it as he definitely feels closer to the baby.

We have read that babies often get comfort from feeling the warmth of someone's hand on them, which might explain why they don't always perform on demand!

toomuchpicknmix · 03/04/2009 12:46

baby has my hands on all the time so am compensating!

DH first felt DD move when we were at the Formula One and all the cars were revving on the starting grid. It was insanely loud and startled the bump into frantic movement.

DH lobbied for the next 15 weeks for Lewis for a boy, Louisa for a girl.
