I am very pleased

I really didn't want to see the other MW at the surgery. Last time I was pg she said 'ooh you got a lot of stretchmarks didn't you' referring to my 1st pregnancy. I was really shocked and said ' oh I'm really hoping I don't get any more this time' and she very unhelpfully said ' oh I can see a few new ones coming up round the sides'

Thanks for that . grrgh

Anyway I have a different nice one this time

She remembered dd's birth. She was training then.

Feel really pleased about it. Not anymore reasurred though as she said she wasn't allowed to listen for the heartbeat till 16 weeks.

My friend used her doppler on wednesday and found it. But I am worried that the noise she heard could have been something else.
She said , 'no it was def the baby'

Oh well on a few days till the scan...

It's nice when you have a nice MW. Where I am I have MWs from a different hospital (and not very good ones at that!)

Ahh, I know what you mean. Its lovely to see them again. They make such an impact on us, then they go off and that's that. We don't forget our MWs

I had DS2 at home, the MW who came out to do the newborn checks delivered DD1 22 months later and was back again for DD2. She wasn't on 'my' MW team, so I felt I got really lucky. I hope she remembers DD2, as she was the only baby she has seen in her career born 'in the bag'.

You're right, it's always nice. I arrived at hospital in labour with DS3 to be greeted by the MW who had delivered DS2. Different hospital too! Unfortunately DS3 took so long to arrive that she didn't deliver him as her shift had finished.
