32 weeks - whinge alert - morale boosting/story sharing needed!

I'm 32 weeks now - I've felt OK from about 17 weeks to about 10 days ago but this last week/10 days things really seem to have gone up a gear!

I've had a yuk chest infection and cold that I can't shift and so am coughing a lot esp in the night. Added to that I've got acid reflux in a big way now (mainlining the Gaviscon!) and the coughing is making me throw up my food as its all so squashed up and my gag reflex is v sensitive.

So I'm not sleeping well, my lovely little girl (bless her, its not her fault!) seems to be getting bigger by the day and squashing me more and more, my bladder is so squashed I permanently feel I need to wee, I am terribly constipated, I have heartburn, I have got shooting pains (neurological) from right buttock all down right leg etc etc etc.

I'm really excited about my baby's arrival but don't quite know how I'm going to put up with another 2 months of this (and I am sure it will get worse!) I'm aiming to work to 38 weeks but not sure if that's feasible any more. I'm struggling now, what will I be like when she's twice the weight she is at the mo? (Do they double their weight in the last 8 weeks?)

Anyone got any war stories to share or morale boosting to give?! I'm sure there are lots of others like me who feel pretty grim too.

Eternal thanks! I guess I just have to focus on the end result and know it will all be worth it in the end ...

Hi Bumpsadaisie - I sympathise. 32 weeks and around was my real low point too. Coincidentally I was also ill, with a viral infection, but also had SPD and felt really low. However bizarrely things have got easier - I'm now 38 + 5 weeks and feeling a lot better (despite some other issues with ds/dd). I don't know whether its having the end in sight or what.
I did finish work as couldn't shift illness and my boss was very understanding and got help from grandparents with dd (2.2) so maybe its the rest.
Don't think weight doubles in the last 8 weeks - but certainly doesn't feel like it.
Anyway hope you are feeling better.
