nearly 37 weeks - should I avoid someone whose partner has just got shingles?

I am nearly 37 weeks and DP is having a pre birthday dinner on Saturday - his 40th b'day is the same time as the due date so we arranged for a group to go out now. One of his oldest friends has just got in touch to say that his wife has shingles and has been told to stay away from pregnant women.

Does anyone know if the husband should also stay away as he has been in contact with someone with shingles or would that only matter if he hasn't had chicken pox?

Its only a problem if you and DP and the friend have never had chicken pox.
It is pretty hard to catch CP from someone with shingles. It is possible, but I think it needs very close contact.
