Hi, i am 25 weeks now and have just got over my bout of the lovely thrush virus! i've only ever had it once before and that was when i was 25 weeks pg with my first DD!!

I've never had it before or afterwards just at this stage of pg. weird.

Get to the Dr, they will give you some cream and some pessaries (nice) but it does work.

Horrid part of pg eh!

am off to docs tomorrow - strangely can not wait to get some treatment!!
Anything to make it go away!!

yes i thought that too ... horrid to have, treatment isn't nice (make sure the bathroom door is locked!) but hey it worked in 3 days, phew!

Good luck x

im 38 weeks and thrush wont go away, i dont want to have it when i give birth, doctor gave me the cream u insert through a tube, what creams are you guys using? and does natural yoghurt work??

Heebychick · 03/04/2009 11:31

i have heard natuaral yoghurt works, might ease the soreness and itching.

i used the pessaries for 3 days with the cream for the 'outside', both times it worked a treat. It is expensvie so get a dr to prescribe it for you.

Hi all - doc gave me canasten, which I know you can get over the counter as well - pricey. I have a pessary also but only one and a very small tube - hope it's enough to stop the itch!!
