I'm sorry how rubbish. I have to go for my 34 week one alone in a couple of weeks and I am feeling a bit about it.

Is there anyone else who can go with you ?

I'm just waiting for a friend to finish donating blood then I'll ask her.

I was wondering if they'd let me video the scan so I can show him tomorrow night? Does anyone know if this is likely to be permitted?

Which scan is it? Has he got an extremely good reason?

heinz, i am in the same boat, if it is any consolation. a friend is coming with me; i was going to go alone but was so relieved when she offered.
i hope someone can go with you.

My DH only made it along once I think for a scan, or indeed any other type of appointment. Didn't really bother me in the slightest.

I don't know if they would allow you to video it maybe you could ask if you could take a quick video clip once they have checked baby over .

NHS would not let us take video; later private scan were more than happy to

Dh didnt make any of my scans either. Its a bummer but you can take him back a pic!

He's been out of work for 2 months and has a job interview lined up. He did offer to cancel it but I (obviously) said no he mustn't. Didn't stop me having a hormonal cry about it.

I'm still waiting for my friend to phone me, I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope she can come. I don't know how I'd cope with DD (18 months) on my own, she's into everything at the moment.

Sorry, it's the anomaly scan. I'm almost 21 weeks. I think what's upsetting me is DH doesn't really have any involvement in the pregnancy, he doesn't coo over the bump or try and feel the baby kick, he never did with our other 3, SO I feel that the scan is really important for him to see.

I hope they do let us film for a short while after they've done their checks.

My DH didn't make it to my 34 week scan/consultant appointment. Took a good friend with me instead. Had a lovely time, went out for lunch afterwards!

On the morning of our pfb first scan my mil rang from her holidays to say she wanted to come home immediately - dh having worked all night got straight in the car and drove to Scotland for her- leaving me to catch the bus alone .

Its ok you get the picture to show him he will hopefully get his job and be with you at the next one. xx

I've just spoken to my lovely friend and she's chuffed to bits that i've asked her and is more than happy to step in. I do feel relieved that I've got someone coming with me.

Glad you've got something sorted. DH didn't come to my scans and it didn't bother me a jot BUT I didn't have an 18 month old with me - You'd never be able to relax and listen to what the sonographer was saying if your mind is on caring for your LO. So glad you've got someone to come with you

Your appts. and scans are still important. I actually enjoyed going alone, just me and the babe!

I'm glad you've found a friend you can feel comfortable with, but the scans are still very special even on your own.
