Blood test results - can anyone explain to me what they mean?

Ladies I am in a country where they like to do lots of tests but don't seem to understand the results. My Dr slipped up last week on something important and now I just want to check a few other things on my blood test results which appear to be outwith the normal ranges.

Specifically, I seem to have too few red blood cells (Hematies) and my %s of HCT and Lymphocytes are also low. My %s of MCHC and Neutophils are too high.

I am 31 weeks pregnant and I do have Factor VII Leiden which I am being treated for with aspirin and clexane.

My Rubella UI/mL is 27.8. Is that ok?

Thanks

Hi there,

I don't know how much help I can be here, but I just looked at my BUPA health screening check that I had done a couple of years ago and it gave me all the results that you mentioned above. All mine were within the normal ranges so that probably doesn't help you.

But what may help is that for Rubella it says "Levels equal to >10 IU/ml are regarded as indication immunity". As yours falls into this area, I would imagine that it means you have the immunity to Rubella which is a good thing.

As for your others, i'm sure they would have told you if there was a problem, wouldn't they?! I would hope so!!

xx

Thanks that certianly helps on the Rubella front.

I have been very trusting up until now but happened to notice the words "Strep B" next to my urine sample and after a bit of internet research found out that I should have been prescribed antibiotics until my urine is clear again otherwise I risk kidney damage and premature labour. I now have the antibiotics but feel safer checking everything out myself now too.
