What drugs to bring fever down can I take in pregnancy, apart from paracetamol?

Have a chest infection and am taking paracetamol but think i might need to double it up with something as I'm at 38.5 and feeling lousy. Just got antibiotics from the doc which hopefully will kick in soon. ps am 12 and a half weeks.

I would keep taking paracetamol regularly, plenty of fluids and go to bed.
38.5 is not too bad really.

A tepid bath or lots of cool flannels will also help. But the best thing you can do really is sleep.

Sympathies - I have had a rumbling chest infection or something going on in my chest for ages. It's the pits, isn't it?

Thanks. Sleep - I know that's the answer - this is my fifth infection since December - but have 20 month dd who's got better ideas than Mummy Sleeping!

Thanks, I'll try and stay on top of the paracetamol doses.
