Hello everyone. I have just found out i am expecting my 3rd baby. HUGE shock! I have a son who is nearly 9 and a daughter who is nearly 4. I am 27, married and work full time as a midwife! Although unplanned we are both relly happy about the pregnancy, personally though, I am feeling a bit anxious too. I look forward to 'meeting' you all x

Congratulations! I Am a midwife too, and have a 4 year old and a 2 month old newbie.

Find the antental thread for your due month - always lovely to have a group to share it with.

Welcome and again, many congrats.

Congratulations and welcome! Now how did a MIDWIFE get her contraception wrong??!!

SlebMner · 29/03/2009 20:48

congratulations, am not a MW but a doula, and often to be found on the pregnancy and birth threads, under my usual name of Lulumama .. definitely find your ante natal club , they are all very friendly..

SlebMner · 29/03/2009 20:48

LOL you'll fit right in here Rachael

Actually you might want to get a name without a number, it's a mumsnet crime - for reasons unestablished! How about

RachaelShouldHaveKnownBetter

or

RachaelisShocked

or

RachaelTheNumberlessWonder

ob viously some clever mumsnetters will come up with much wittier things...

treedelivery · 29/03/2009 21:06

I'm the same! That's so funny. I didn't even realise I was pregnant with dd1 till I was nearly 10 weeks. I just thought I was getting too old to handle my hangovers.

Can you imagine it, the Bella headline....'Midwife shocker - I thought I had wind but I was in labour'

My GP asked me my LMP with dd2 and I just looked at him blankly. I told him March, maybe April.

rachael4 · 29/03/2009 21:10

LOL. Rachaelnicebutdim comes to mind at this moment! Hubby's nickname for me is scratchet but not gonna use that in case people think i have some form of nits/scabies or crabs! Not the impresssion i want to make!! x

TooMessyForMinimalism · 29/03/2009 21:13

How about

RachaelisSickInTheMorningsAndCan'tFigureOutWhy

RachaelFaintsUnexpectedlyWhatCouldBeWrong? (a la soaps)

Rachael'sPeriodsHaveStoppedHasSheReachedTheMenopauseOrCouldItBeSomethingElse

All very catchy I think

rachael4 · 29/03/2009 21:14

To be honest the only reason i did pg test was because i couldn't finish the bottle of red i had opened! Not good i know! Am pleased now though. Relieved to know i am not alone in my misdemeanors!
