With my first two dd's it was around 20 weeks and then they were very often and quite uncomfortble. This time round they have started this week and I'm only 15 weeks, it's such a weird feeling, feels so strange to feel this and feel bubba moving already.

mine started quite late with DS1 but this time I noticed them at 19 weeks. It's normal supposedly, and we probably just know what to look for by now

I am 30 weeks with my second pregnancy and have only just realised that my stomach 'tightenings' are 'Braxton Hicks'. Last pregnancy I thought they were the baby doing a complicated turn and pressing hard on me!!!!!

What I don't understand is that I got 'contractions' about every half an hour for an hour or two in the night, the week before I gave birth. At the time I read that they must be Braxton Hicks as it is only once contractions come less than 15mins apart that they technically become contractions.

What I don't understand is that - the tummy tightenings I get at this stage - lasting up to a minute, and the contractions I got half an hour apart the week before I gave birth, are very different. The contractions were deep in the pelvis and like waves pouring over me. The BH are higher up.

They just seemed very different - or is any contraction before labour just loosely put under the 'BH' category?

daisy5, sounds like you had early labour contractions. My BHs don't register in the pelvis at all.

This time they started at 10 weeks I don't like them.

I don't know if I'm having BH or not... I am 30 weeks on Wednesday so would it be unusual NOT to have had any? I am getting tightenings in my stomach and I think it's just baby moving, like daisy5, could these actually be BH?

First PG so have no idea what I'm looking for... Had to have Jelly monitored last week as hadn't felt her move and they put two monitors on, one to measure BH. When I told them I hadn't had any (or thought I hadn't..) they looked quite surprised!!
