only if you fall

BeckyBendyLegs · 28/03/2009 11:30

I'm impressed you can do handstands, pregnant or not! I haven't tried for about twenty years.

Longtalljosie · 28/03/2009 11:32

There are so many things I can't do in pregnancy I really miss. Like blue cheese, rare steak, ski-ing...

But hand stands? Do you do them a lot?!

Simplysally · 28/03/2009 11:36

Is this in yoga? Probably not advisable unless you are used to doing them.

mama2leah · 28/03/2009 11:37

I wouldn't!

mawbroon · 28/03/2009 12:51

I don't think I could have summoned the energy to do a handstand!

Maybe do it against the wall so you don't fall over?

Apparently my grandmother used to do a handstand any time anyone suggested she was getting old. She did it until she was nearly 70 I believe!

Disenchanted3 · 28/03/2009 12:53

Oh christ no.

Why on earth would you want to randomly do something that could be dangerous to your baby and actually has no benefit to you at ALL?

Wilkiepedia · 28/03/2009 22:14

?

minxofmancunia · 28/03/2009 22:28

no inverted poses when pg, this includes headstands, handstands and shoulder stands.

don't do it

WifeofGeek · 29/03/2009 21:13

If you already done it sure ok, but no I wouldn't. The only time to do handstands as adult is when had a drink! lol

BhaktiMama · 11/05/2009 15:19

I;m a yogini doing handstands, arm balances and backbends right now (15 weeks). I think it is fine if you are experienced with it, take it slow, and listern your body. Check out ashtanganews.com/2006/06/06/ashtanga-during-pregnancy-one-ashtangis-experience/ for inspiration!

mama2leah · 11/05/2009 15:28
