Been in hospital for 48 hours - but all seems fine at the moment.

Would be interested to hear about anybody with a similar experiences. In particular - has anybody had a bleed at a similar stage and not gone on to have any more? At the hospital I was given the impression that it's quite likely (or at least possible) that it will happen again.

I'm expecting twins and one has a very low lying placenta which they think is the cause of the bleed - and doesn't seem that uncommon.

Any advice/input comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I just read it back and it sounds quite harsh...
I just meant that having a section is in no way easier than giving birth naturally...

If you have placenta preavia you will need a section... But please have faith that your Placenta will move... Don't wish it not to...
Its sooo serious. Especially if you have an anterior placenta preavia they might well need to cut through the placenta to get your baby out(which is what happened to me)... Believe me... It is scary

I'm sorry for the last post being blunt though... I didnt want to upset or offend anyone

Well as long as you had a choice that is good. You knew what to expect and wanted it to be like the first one.

I guess I just feel like because I had a bad time with sections I wouldn't want people to want that... If you know what I mean?!?!?!
I'm so very bad at explaining what I mean sometimes...
I'm glad that you had good experiences. Its nice to hear that!!

x

WOW!!! Thats an amaing picture! I've never seen anything like that. I asked for a few photos of my 2nd birth... I did get some but they were all of my son all lovely and clean . I guess there was a lot more going on in that room than they let on to me!!
Still I'm here with my gorgeous DS's.

I'll get some pictures on here soon LOL x

I had bleeding with DD. First one at 23 weeks, in fact the evening after my second scan. Spent the night in hospital. They said I had a low placenta. It moved up as pregnancy went on but the bleeding came back a few times and I was in hospital for another night or two about 3 or 4 times. In fact when I went for a check up at 39 weeks I was bleeding and got admitted there and then.

DD was induced (that took 3 attempts as labour kept stopping), then had waters broken and drip and epidural. 12 hours later and after 3 hours of pushing they decided her head was stuck and had an emergency CS. It was all a nightmare.

And they could never me where the bleeding was coming from in the first place...

I had a massive bleed at 19 weeks - ambulance job. I bled all the way after that, nothing as bad. Even walking to school then made me bleed. They found no reason other than 'faulty blood vessel, or baby kicking too much!'. I had lots of scans and anti D. He was a month early, but ok.
