I went into hospital as baby's movements had been all over the place and completely different from his/her usual pattern (ie almost constant!).
Mw said that the head had 'popped out' of pelvis and the baby was lying obliquely. I was kept in for 2 days over which several mws said head was 'on the brim' of pelvis. The concern is that the cord could prolapse cutting off oxygen to baby. I am now out of hospital under instructions to get straight in by ambulance of waters break and get on all fours with bum in air and also comein if any signs of labour. I am being monitored by mw/doctor weekly to see where head is.
Opinion seems to be mixed as to whether this is quite normal for a second baby or whether its serious. Does anyone have experience of this?
Im trying to spend time on birth ball to wriggle head down but have spd so is not comfortable to say least!

I didn't think it was at all unusual for the baby not to be engaged before labour in a second pregnancy???

Neither did i but they were all a bit dramatic keeping me in hospital and monitoring.....
