cramping in early pregnancy

Hi
I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have been aware of a sort of dull ache most of the time, which I believe is normal. However, sometimes (and especially if i've been walking around a lot it seems) it turns into a more crampy pain, which is really scaring me. I've not had any bleeding or anything, but I'm concerned about what the cramps could be. I would say they are mild, but definitely noticeable, and not as bad as AF cramps. Each time I go to the loo I am expecting to see blood. Has anyone else had this? Thanks.

Should add, the 'dull ache's is v v mild, and only noticeable if I think about it. It's not like a constant pain or anything.

Hi katster37 I'm on child number three and have had 'period' pain for the first few weeks with all my pregnancies (it feels like you're just about to come on). Lots of people seem to get it and it's probably implantation pain. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it gets stronger, is on one side or is accompanied by bleeding.

Hope everything goes well with your pregnancy.

I'm pregnant with number 2 and I had cramping like period pain in the first few weeks with both. I agree with twinklegreen, it feels like you're bout to come. I would say unless it gets very painful or there is bleeding with it then there shouldn't be anything to worry about

Thanks twinklegreen and shish. It's v intermittent (hardly felt it today) and does seem to be aggravated by walking around lots (or I could have imagined it!) Hopefully I was worrying about nothing. Thanks.
