for hospital - dont bother - one muslin or 2 should be fine and a bib - all depending how long u r planning to stay of course! i was only in 12 hours!

ds never wore a bib in hospital. But then, he refused to eat so he wasn't being sick!

I would take one or 2... Always overestimate... I had a natural birth and should have been out the next day. But ended up staying for 4 days as ds wouldn't feed

If you are palnning on bf then you probably won't need bibs.

We bought the bibs but were not necessary until DS was about 4m, probably later. During the first week babies eat so little that sometimes you wonder if you are producing calostrum/milk at all. No poseting until a few weeks later so even the muslins didn't get much use until later.

I bottlefed, and the dt's were both really sick, ending up buying bibs from the hospital shop. You can always bring them home clean, if you don't need them!

Take a couple into hospital and get your dh to bring more if you need them. I didn't use either - I think maybe even sicky babies don't get started that early?

With dd I wondered what bibs were for - people kept buying us these cute little sets - a babygro and matching bib. Never used the bibs. And I bought 2 packs of 12 muslins and never even opened the second pack.

I've opened it for ds though! I get through at least 8 muslins and 8 bibs (and quite often 8 babygros as well) a day. He's been formula-fed for the last couple of weeks but if anything he got less sicky when I stopped bf'ing.

I'm just praying for that stomach muscle to get stronger...

Curdled milk on the shoulder and down the back is the up-and-coming look anyway .
