i had a sweep yesterday at 40+3 and the MW said i had a small bleed afterwards but this was normal and just to put a pad on and minitor it and if te bleeding became heavy to call her. The bleeding stopped and about 2 hrs after the sweep i went the toilet and there was a sort of gooey brown discharge on the pad it didnt have any fresh red blood in it and i havnt had anymore since.. do you think this could have been my show ?

It could be. I expected to 'know' when I had a show but to be honest when I did have one it looked nothing like what I had expected. Looked more like blood to me - albeit brown.Luckily for me, the midwife was there and confirmed it was the show. I would ring your midwife - has anything happened since?

That happened to me after my sweep - the midwife said it wasn't a show as I'd already dilated 2 cms so any show would have already happened. I started contracting about 5 hours later though........!

It could be - you can lose your plug in little bits and pieces!

Im a little worried for the past few hrs my temperature has been high feel extremely warm, dizzy and flushed.

Could i have picked up an infection after having the sweep? i just dont feel right should i call my mw? or could this be an early sign my labour is moving along?

I would call you MW just to check. Do you have high BP? You should just let them know how you feel. May be early signs.

I lost my plug but then DD came 4 days later so not straight away.

Am sure your midwife wouldn't mind you calling or the maternity unit at your local hospital. Backache sounds positive - a lot of women feel that as the first sign of their labour!

Ooh, how exciting!

Make sure you keep updating (if not in full blown labour obv!)
