uterine tear- seen on scan in early pregnancy

Hello there-

Anyone else had an early pregnancy scan and been told they have a small uterine tear (But not near sac) ?

I had a small amout of fresh red blood a few days ago after a bath, then since some brown staining every so often. Due to this, they gave me a scan- but as I am only 4 weeks 5 days, we could only see sac at this stage.

My HCG levels are high at the moment, but we will have to see in 48 hours.

Anyone else had a tear and know anything about them? The Doc didn't seem worried....

Can you tell me- did it make you bleed a little then spot???

Hi - yes, I had this. I didn't actually have any obvious bleeding, which was baffling, but I did have bad pain and ended up having a scan which showed 3 tears, no where near the sac. They kept saying "are you sure you've had no bleeding?" and told me to expect brown discharge when it finally appeared, but never did.

Now 26th week, and all is well.

I had this at 9 weeks. Had very slight spotting, but was worried enough to go to hospital. The scam showed I had a 2mm tear in my placenta (subchorionic hematoma). The OB told me that small tears usually heal themselves by 20 weeks. I am now 23 weeks and my 20 week scan showed no evidence of any tears. I only spotted for the day, but cramping lasted almost a week. Was told that blood irritates the uterus causing the cramps.

Take it easy for a few days and try not to worry!

So, after I had a positive pregnancy test, I visited my OBGYN for an ultrasound to see how far along I was. He told me that the sac (7 weeks 6 days gestation) had detached from my uterine wall and was resting on my cervix. I was also informed that I had a small tear in my uterine wall and that it was likely caused by the separation of the sac. Because I hadn't had any trauma prior to my visit (ie. car accident, fall, punch to the stomach), that they couldn't tell me exactly why the sac had detached. They just told me that the heart wasn't beating and that since my cervix wasn't dilating on its own, that they'd give me a medicine to dilate my cervix so that I could pass the sac naturally (since a D&C could/would cause further damage to my uterus). So I swallowed the pills and two hours later I had a cramp which was the passing of the sac. They inspected it to be sure I passed everything and I went home with a Rx for 800mg ibuprofen. I didn't need to take any of them though. Anyway, I bled for about 3 weeks after that and had my HcG levels monitored until they were below 20 so that I could have an IUD put in to prevent any pregnancies from happening right now. I was told that the tear will likely repair itself and not to worry, just to take it easy for a couple weeks (avoid lifting anything over 10lbs, don't do strenuous workouts, avoid trauma, etc.). When my husband and I are ready to have our third child (probably in two years or so), my doctor said that he'd remove the IUD and check on the tear to be sure it healed fully before giving me the go-ahead to get pregnant again. I know this isn't exactly the same as having a tear during pregnancy, but maybe my story will ease your mind that these things happen often and your body will likely repair the problem on its own with time and relaxation.

I’m wondering if anyone has had an experience with uterine tear in early pregnancy? At 11 weeks gestation, Dr found a year in the uterus that’s 3 cm big. Was told not to lift anything over 5 lbs and “ take it easy”
Haven’t seen Dr in person yet, and saw an old post on here, and hope someone else can honestly help me?
