She said she knew weeks ago.

I am only 9 weeks.

Apparantly she studied the posture of pregnant women for her degree (or some sort of studies)and the hormones affect your posture almost as soon as you get pregnant. She said you walk with your pelvis out. But in more technical terms.

I am now paranoid about my wadddle!!

I bet when I tell the people that don't know, they'll all say 'oh yeah, we knew, it was so obvious!'

Wow - it sounds as though it's real rather than an old wive's tale!
When I told my boss last time he told me he'd guessed because my face had changed shape . Nothing to do with me looking green and running to the toilet every time there were food smells in the office! And a colleague this time said she can tell because of something under your eyes - apprently not bags, I checked.

I know!

When she said she knew I thought she was going to say it was because I looked rough! Baggy clothes, my skinny jeans dont fit , no make up etc!

Hi,

I think people just like to think they knew - I told some people in January when I was 12 weeks and they were all gobsmacked! Mainly because I had been told I was infertile. Anyway I have waited until now - 22 weeks BTW and told a new set of people who had no need to know before and not one of them had guessed! So I wouldn't put any credence in the posture idea. Although saying that I have begun to notice my balance shifting which will get worse in the next few weeks but as I will be 24 weeks+ then of course it will be obvious!

Well, I could do with her around here.

I was 22 weeks gone when I found out about DS and 18 weeks gone with this 'bump' so if she can tell at approx. 5 weeks, then I could really use her help over here.

because I, apparently, cannot tell when I am PG. Never mind anyone else.

LOL

Maybe it has affected me more as this is my 3rd pregnancy? I don't know, just a guess.

My MIL said she could normally tell when someone is expecting because their lips were swollen.

I had a few annoyingly smug 'we knew' type comments. FIL said he guessed as I apparently patted my stomach and gave a knowing look to my SIL in his company - I didn't; and she didn't know at that point anyway. SIL said she guessed as I had my napkin in a funny way when we were out for a meal with them and seemed happy.

Felt a bit p'd off at being analysed so much, can't people just say congratulations.

Thats what my sister thinks, she says why do they have to have worked it out already!
