Size 22/24 maternity jeans?

I need some jeans, must be over the bump style and I am normally a size 22 but feel like such a fat biffer at the moment I reckon I might need a size 24 maybe. I've looked on ebay and they have jeans in size 20/22 (too small) and size 24/26 (too big). Can anyone help? I just want one pair of jeans to see me through till it gets a bit warmer as I have loads of summer maternity stuff from previous pregnancy.

What size do Next go up to? Their maternity clothes are generous IME.

Simply Be have just started a maternity range, don't know what it includes as not checked it out (not pregnancy yet!) but might be worth a look as their normal ranges are 14 - 30 so I'd have thought the maternity would be the same.

thanks, have looked at next and they do some up to a size 22 so might give them a go. Simply be only seem to do those really low waist trousers which I have tried on and they just don't stay up at all .

I second the next thing, I'm usually a 20 and the size 20 maternity jeans/trousers were huge, H&M do some good stuff too, I got a couple of things in a L (which I think would equate to a size 18?) and they even covered my ginormous bump.

EsmeWeatherwax · 17/03/2009 21:48

I wear Next jeans too, they're pretty generous. For what its worth though, in my experience maternity jeans never stay up, no matter what style they are! Next are the best of a bad bunch is all. (I'm a size 18-20 btw)

just to agree with the other posters re: Next jeans-their over bump maternity jeans do come up big-so a 22 should be fine on you. I did get a pair of the ones with the elastic in the sides, but they seemed to come up small!

AllThreeWays · 18/03/2009 06:35

Would this work for you? Don't know if the staying up thing would still be an issue.

I wouldn't recommend trying on jeans in H&M - I couldn't get into anything below an 18 and I am still wearing a next 12 (although I know realistically that post pg I will be a 14). They are really skinny on the legs.

suwoo · 18/03/2009 09:05

I second that H&M have really skinny tiny trousers. I am normally a 10 and their size 14 maternity are almost too tight. When I've put them together the 14's are smaller than my non maternity size 10.

brettgirl2 · 18/03/2009 09:09

I have a pair of trousers in a size 14 from there(I was a 12 before PG). They were never really comfy and I haven't put them on since about 20 weeks . When I bought them I was half a stone less than I was pre-pg!!! .

I nearly cried in there when I tried to buy some jeans a couple of weeks ago! (At 34 weeks lol)

i have loads of maternity stuff in size 22 for sale.

sazzle114 · 18/03/2009 10:28

HI
I was a size 24 before being pregnant and found next size 22 jeans to be more than adequate for the whole of my pregnancy. the best ones i bought were from simply be as they look just like normal jeans and fit better than next. i'm high waisted and didn;t have a prblem with them.

I have 4 pairs of maternit jeans for sale if anyone is interested. £7.50 a pair. all size 22

Thanks

I was a 22 when pregnant and Next size 22 maternity jeans were like tents on me. Tried over and under bump, over bump definitely better but go down at least a size, probably two.

Hersetta · 18/03/2009 12:27

I second getting a smaller size - i bought simply be over bump maternity jeans in my regular size and if I ran upstairs they would fall down - even at 8 months plus. If you could get them with an adjustable waitband they would be perfect.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 18/03/2009 17:00

well I can personally not recommend H&M - tried on some size 22 linen trousers, the belly bit was great but the top of the trousers was really tight under my belly and I think was cutting off circulation to the baby . I'm definatively thinking of trying Next - it just bugs me that you have to sign up to the whole catalogue thing in order to order from them.
