Hi

2nd baby due july 2009, had really grt preg with 1st but horrible labour:

-22 hours of labour
-4 hours pushing
-head in wrong postion
-stuck in pelvis
-forecips used, lost heart beat (also they cut her head open with them)she is 3 and is still scared
-blood loss

In the end had to have c-section, and really really dont want another hated every min of the section.

i have heard that raspberry leaf tea taken after 32 wks of preg will help to shorten the 2nd stage of labour and help strengthen the uterus muscles. after the birth will help to contract the uterus to it normal size. But have only read science and health info would love to hear other mums ideas on useing it?

any info on helping to prevent having another c section would be grt help

Yikes sounds like u had horrendous time. I drank the stuff like mad before no2 after a 30hr labour with no1. Second labour lasted less than 1/2 hour. Just got into delivery room in time...

Not sure if the raspberry leaf tea had anything to do with it but as long as u don't start drinking it too early I believe it is safe and you have nothing to lose.

Good luck

I took the tablets religiously and had 25 hour labour with nearly 2 and a half hours of pushing and a bleed afterwards. The midwife said my contractions were weak. Think it's just the luck of the draw! However, like Mummyella said - you have nothing to lose so can't hurt trying.
