Hi i saw my doc over a week ago and am now waiting to hear from a midwife at hommerton hospital to book in my first appointment. Im 8 weeks pregnant and was just wondering when they would contact me, i got the impression i would have a booking in appointment before my 12 week scan appointment. Am i being a bit to keen?
thanks

Hi there,
I had my midwife appointment, with Hommerton midwife - though saw her at my local doctor's surgery - at 9 weeks. I think it varies and can be nearer your 12 week.

I would call them to be honest. I had to ring a few times to get mine and in the end my booking apppt was after my nuchal scan which felt all wrong. At UCH the booking appt is about 8 weeks

both time I didn't get my booking in apoointment till after my 12 week scan

This is my 3rd pregnancy at the Homerton and each time my booking in apt has been at the 12 week scan. I would, however, give them a ring to check that they've received the referral letter from your GP as mind went AWOL with my 2nd pregnancy and I ended up having to take it in by hand.
