Pregnancy acne = boy?

I have had quite bad acne (on one cheek and my back) from week 6 through to 26, and is now beginning to clear up. But I am intrigued to know if this means I am carrying a boy?

They say acne occurs as a result of increased testosterone levels - so indicators would point in the direction of a boy baby.

Has anyone got any evidence to back this up? Has anyone had raging acne and then had a little girl?

I don't know nor mind what I have - I'm just quite fascinated by it all.

Nope. Not in my case anyway. I had perfect skin throughout my teens and 20s. Then I got pg at 34 and for the first time in my life got terrible spots. First baby was a girl.

I'm having a girl, and my skin is awful. Spotty, blotchy, dry, just awful. I didn't even have spots as a teen!

Terrible acne with DS1 & DD. Lovely clear skin with DS2.

My skin is usually really clear. Got hideously spotty (for the first time in my life) when I was pg with dc1 (boy)- from before I even knew I was pg, until the end.

Pg again (25 wks), my skin is completely clear this time, and by the looks of the scan, it's a girl.

Another symptom of 1st pg was scary stray hairs- big thick, black, man-hairs on my arms and chest. This time (so far) no sign of them either- so I'm guessing they were testosterone related too.

My skin has been awful from day one, and we are having a little boy!

Also, hair related- I was mortified to find a random dark hair growing out of my chin- argh!! Hopefully that wont be a perminant thing, and just a pregnancy thing, ha!

Boy testosterone!! Hope it means he is gonna be a little footballer and earn me millions!!
