Hi All,

I am only 6 weeks pregnant but was trying to find out when my booking appointment and scan appointment will be. My gp has referred me to Kingston Hospital, I have no idea what Kingston Hospital is like and also wanted to find out what other people?s views are on the care they offer. I had my son 3 years ago in west mid hospital and was very happy with my care; my gp could not refer me there again as my pct boundaries have changed.

Thanks in advance.

By experience is just over 5 years old now so not sure I'm still qualified to give an opinion - but my birth was great - aftercare less so, but no worse than ST Peters where I had my second. if you search the archives (put kingston hospital into title to narrow down) you'll find a few threads - eg www.mumsnet.com/Talk/49/588379

I'm having my baby at Kingston next month (there are quite a few of us on this site!). So far the ante-natal care has been good and the sonographers excellent. I also had to be admitted to the maternity unit earlier in my poregnancy and the midwife's on the ward were lovely. They rae busy and you have to fight for breast-feeding help and post-natal care (as I understand) but so far my experience has only been positive.

There is a new video of the facilities as you cannot do a tour:

Good luck with your pregnancy!
