Hi
I feel your pain, I was similarly exhausted at 30 wks and still working.

Might it be worth checking for anaemia (sorry if predictable suggestion)...

Hope it improves for you.

I'm 32 weeks, have a very hyper ds (4.4) so I feel your pain!!
I am ashamed to say that cbeebies is playing a greater role in our house than it should be
Naps aren't possible, I'm irritable as I'm so tired & I barely sleep at night due to being so uncomfortbale, can someone please fastforward time to the end of April, I am sure I will sleep more with a newborn than I do now. I feel very sorry for my poor ds & dh having to put up with me like this

Yes, assume they let you know if there is a problem with bloods. Something my MW said to me is that though my blood iron mightnt have been low on the general scale, it might be low for me, so I might feel an effect, IYSWIM.

Lots of people on my other thread have taken floridex or spatone successfully in pregnancy.

breaghsmum · 11/03/2009 17:14

what is floridex and spatone? is it iron supplements?

Spatone is satchets of iron fortified water (from a spring somewhere which has particularly iron-rich water) which you buy from (a large branch of) Boots and then add to a glass of orange juice.

It's really good - much easier on the stomach (and on the constipation!) than iron tablets.

Last week my 28 week bloods showed I was anaemic and so I've been taking one spatone and orange a day since then. The difference has been quite dramatic - I actually feel quite full of energy whereas before I had to sleep for 90 minutes as soon as I got home from work and then drag myself off the bed to make some supper before crashing out on the sofa again!
