Hi, I got a BFP nearly two weeks ago which makes me nearly 6 weeks pg.

For the last 10 days I've had on and off very light brownish spotting, which I know could be nothing, but on the other hand is always a worry. It's my 3rd baby and I never had this before.

DH and have decided to wait a while before announcing it even to family, especially given the spotting. I just feel so flat at the moment, especially as we were so excited about getting pg at the beginning.

The waiting to see if the spotting develops is very stressful - all the advice seems to be to take it easy, but thats impossible with 2 other small children!

Still, at least there's mumsnet!

Oh, and I'm also stressing because I don't seem to have any symptoms (except tiredness). I keep waiting for sore boobs and nausea, and the lack of them is making me paranoid.

I was exactly the same, the day before I found out I was PG, I had a sudden gush of bright red bleeding, coupled with cramps that made me drop to my knees. It wore off as the night went on, and then it clicked that it may not be my period so I tested. Had a scan, everything fine and I was 6 weeks pregnant. I still had spotting for a week after it. I'm 21 weeks now, and I still check the toilet paper every time I go to the loo Bleeding/spotting is quite common at around the 6 weeks mark for a lot of people. If it's really worrying you though, or turns bright red - call your EPU.

I also had/have no symptoms besides extreme tiredness. I must have thrown up a handful of times since finding out - but I have never spent a whole morning feeling sick, I just randomly and suddenly had the urge to throw up

Try not to worry every pregnancy is different, not every one has the textbook sore boobs, morning sickness, and passes pee like a racehorse! Doesn't always mean something is wrong though, just enjoy it!

Thank you Yes, I am forcing myself not to go to the loo every 1/2 hour just to check the paper!

I have a GP appt on Friday to inform them of the pregnancy, so I'll mention the spotting then.

It's funny, I expected that 3rd time round I'd know exactly what was going on, but each pg really is unique
