JW, as mrsb points out, cat hairs really do get everywhere. Especially black cat hairs in spring. DS leaves the toilet seat up, cats jump up and try to balance on the rim, as they do everywhere, and leave little hairs stuck to it. It only happens in the shower room on 2nd floor which has no lock on it - the other toilet and bathroom we lock from the outide, which always throws people. .
A 2.5 bedroom house is a London 2-bed house with a boxroom which is sold as a 3-bed. It had space for a single bed or cot against the wall, with just enough room for a smallish adult to fit between it and the other wall, but no other furniture. Victorians really must have been very tiny.
mmm Floria that meal sounds divine. We had fillet steak too last night, but just rubbed with oil and garlic salt before searing, and served with roast garlic cherry tomatoes (i love them just as a sauce for pasta, only takes 20 mins) and papaprika-coated courgettes slices.
mrsb you're so right about how the little darlings take over your bed. I did eventually have to work very hard at getting DD into her cot, but don't regret the early months of having her in with us, because it did mean I never had to get out of bed to feed - lazy cow that I am. DS always liked to be put back into his crib after feeds and enjoyed his own space, but ever since he's been about 4 he always wakes at 6.30 and gets into bed with us for a cuddle and a chat (he chats; we go 'Ug') but we quite like it really
JJ hope Iris's ear doesn't get any worse and that the doc is helpful.
peachyfox lol @ avoiding your mother for the birth. The June thread is full of poor women being maniupulated by their parents or in-laws who want to visit/interfere on their terms, regardless of what the mums or their OHs want. They must have forgotten what it was like with a newborn - either that or they had the same experience with their mothers and don't see why their daughters shouldn't suffer too...
