Pregnancy can certainly trigger migraines with all the hormones and fluctuating blood flows.

I went to labour ward with one last time as was worried about the flashing lights before my eyes. At first they were concerned because I couldn't speak, but then it clicked it was a migraine (I had to write it down) and they gave me codeine and let me sleep!

My mum's migraines stopped when she was pg with me, then started again when she got pg with my sister. She had one nearly every day - poor thing.

i suffer from migraines and get them more when I am pregnant. in fact get more headaches generally when pg, apparently it's a hormone thing.

I used to get migraines during puberty, they stopped completely when I was about 20. Got them again during each pg (3 pg so far!) so agree with the others, it's a hormonal thing

migraines can be triggered by hormonal changes, so it is certainly something that could be triggered by pregnancy.

I suffer from migraines but conversely, never got them when pregnant (twas one of my "signs" )
