Would you say that at your 4D scan your baby looked like...

I mean, did it look like just a baby or like the child you gave birth to complete with nose like dad, lips like mum, etc. etc.?

To me, although all the 4D pics I've seen look different, they don't look particularly distinguishable iyswim?

I have a basic 4D scan booked but I'm not sure I want to look in, as it were, if it is going to somehow spoil meeting my baby on the day.

I know, I'm just being silly probably.

they just look like a baby, iyswim. I had mine at 23 weeks so dd had a lot of growing time left.

Unless you are a very, very good sonographer, I don't think you can tell anything! I had a 20-week scan at the Harris Birthright Centre at King's College so they are top of the crop sonographers there... The sonographer switched to 4D mode for a bit and he took a look at me (ethnically I am Chinese) and one look at MIL (who is blond as they come!) and said that the baby was going to look just like mummy. we were like as we couldn't see anything more than a funny looking thing... And guess what? DS looks exactly like me!
