Maternity pillows - any good for helping you sleep?

Last time I was pregnant I scoffed at these, (that'll teach me,) but I struggle to sleep more than a few hours a night in a row due to backache and discomfort, and I'm only 30 weeks pregnant, so potentially have 3 months to go.

Has anyone tried them, and do they help?

Thanks in anticipation.

I had one of the v shaped ones and it was great - one end under the bump and the other between my legs, really made a big difference to my comfort.

They're also really useful afterwards for breastfeeding (to raise the baby up higher initially and then, once you both have the hang of it, to support your back and shoulders.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!! really great- I would have dies without mine!! got the long one from mothercare, about £30 BUT worth every penny!

I had this one and it did help

I found mine a godsend, give it a go.

i got a 'v' shaped pillow from john lewis which i am now using in my 2nd pregnancy. so worth it - sleeping, breastfeeding and crash mat for babies that have learned to sit up but keep falling backwards! cheaper than one sold especially for pregnancy but essentially the same thing.

Wouldn't have been without mine!

I have the same one as eldonave - wouldn't have been without it while pregnant, in labour, for feeding, for sitting the babies up and now DS3 uses it while he's watching telly in our bed.

It's been going for nearly 8 years

I didnt bother for pregnancy with DS1 - when pregnant with DS2 invested in a pregnancy pillow and it was helpful (didnt cure the pregnancy insomnia but did help get comfortable). So yup, would say go for it.
