Hi am new on here and just want to have chat with other Mum's. Have 3 children already and am 36 weeks pregnant with non ID Twins! Ekk.
Excited but a little scared... if i had known it was buy one get one free that week i would have waited to the week after lol!
Had a scan yesterday and both breech, but really good sizes 6lb1 and 6lb 5. So am booked for C- section on the 17th. Never had C- section before so would love some words of reassurance!!
My other 3 were all good births, including 2 water births so this is all new to me! Also am planning to try breastfeeding the twins so anyone with any helpful tips?
Take care everyone X

Sorry no experience of twins or c-sections but I just wanted to say congratulations

Oh congratulations. And welcome. What good sizes!

I had an emergency cs so a bit different to an elective but I was discharged 12 hours later and suffered no real pain. It's good to get up as soon as possible and move around a little if you can. Do what you can and no more, take the drugs if you need them and conentrate on bfing. She was my first though so no others to run around after. Have you plenty of support for after the birth?

COngratulations.

If you look at the topic list, there is a multiple births section under the parenting heading, and loads of threads and posts that you might find helpful.

Good luck

Congratulations.

I am a mum of ID twins...but they were delivered Vaginally at 27 weeks and therefore I couldn't establish bf either.

but there are some wonderful ladies on this thread which will be able to help with your queries. It is kind of like a MN twins club (with a bit more alcholol and frivolity I think!). Marslady is a doula and a bit of a Guru on bf twins. And all of teh other loverly ladies are experts in teh field of twins too.

I second Slightlys link - the thread is full of nutcases who love having a laugh. Come over to the 'D'ya' thread and join the nuthouse!!

Congratulations by the way!

Congratulatins najl76. I had three and then the DTs.

Did you breastfeed the first 3? Breastfeeding twins isn't so bad. You just need to be sure to rest where you can and take it a day at a time (or a week at a time if you can).

It's exciting, exhilirating, exhausting, amazing, relentless and fantastic having twins. Just holler if you need anything.

Thanks everyone, will def follow the link thanks. Yes did breastfeed the first 3 but not as successful as I would have liked and the longest was 4 months.
Thanks for making me feel soooo Welcome :0

You may find it easier with the DTs. Just remember to rest as much as you can (other chlidren permitting).
