due date

basically i want to know whats more accurate calculating the due date with date of conception or with the dating scan. i just ask as acording to my dates bumps was due on 10th but dating scan says 15th i know theres not much differance but that would mean im already nearly a week late

think im clutching at straws now lol but i do know for a fact date of conception was 22nd july

but you might have ovulated a couple of days later than that tho, as sperm can survive up to 5 days, so the date of conception could be a few days after sex.

I think mummytosteven is correct in saying dating scan but I wouldn't worry too much as, when it comes down to it, baby could come any time in the 2 weeks before or after the due date. By my dates, dd2 was due 28th March, dating scan said 25th, and she actually arrived on the 20th! I knew my date of ovulation as well
