Im 10+4 and yesterday while out shopping i started having severe cramps which had me doubled over and nearly in tears i also felt a little leakage so i asked the manager of the shop i was in if i could use their toilet i explained i was nearly 3 months pregnant and couldnt hold it and he had no problem with allowing me to use it

While wiping i noticed bright red blood not having any pads on me i put a wad of tissue in my knickers n went to find my dp who took me straight home it took 20mins to get there and in that time i'd leaked through the tissue my knickers and my jeans (sorry if tmi) i changed my clothes and put on a pad while my dp phoned for an ambulance (as neither of us can drive) and went and got his sister to look after our 3dc

15mins later i had to change the pad again as it was full there were no clots just loads of bright red blood the ambulance took me straight to hospital on the way i had my bp checked twice and on both occasions it was sky high (i do have bp problems during pregnancy i had eclampsia on my 3rd child resulting in an emerg c-sec 4wks early)

At the hosp my bp was still high but it had lowered a little they did blood and urine tests which all came bk normal and was sent up to the EPU where i was examined and told it is most likely a miscarriage but theres a slim chance that i could still go on to have the baby as he said many women have bleeding in early pregnancy but still have normal pregnancys after the bleeding has stopped and the fact that so far i havent had any clots or tissue come out that it could be a good sign he also said that they cant know anything for sure until i have a scan and im booked in for one tomorrow at 11.15

Im not trying to get my hopes up to far as i know theres more of a chance of it being a miscarriage but i still want to get a little bit of hope

If your still reading then thank you as i know its a very long post

Sorry its taken so long to get bk with an update

I hadnt drunk enough water so i kept getting called in n sent bk out again on the 4th try my bladder was full enough

i seen the baby and the heartbeat and then she checked to see where the bleed was coming from then made me wait for a doctor who explained that the bleed didnt affect the baby in any way and the baby looks perfectly healthy is a good size n has a strong heartbeat and the rest of my pregnancy should be normal now but to go bk if i have any more bleeding

Thank you all for your msgs of support, kind wishes and good stories that helped me keep some hope xxx

Great news, I had the same thing. But mine was pretty constant for 10 days! Bright red blood. I had a small area of blood, that was basically draining away. Got to see the baby jumping around loads though, 4 scans in total before the 12 week one.

Hope that's it for drama! Good luck.

I bled at 10wks, rested for a few days (2 weeks) I daren't move I know its really scary, I shook uncontrolably, my nerves in tatters, but......I was ok and had a baby boy who is now 13yo

Good luck!

Im still bleeding a little well its more like a heavy discharge now but its like old brownish blood is that normal after a bleed or should i go back to EPU

It's the old blood coming out (bit like the end of a period).

If you get any more bright red though, don't be afraid to go back. It's better for your sanity to get checked out rather than sit and worry!

Congrats on the good news
