Scan at 7wks + 2 days - no heartbeat but quite high HCG levels 6,540

Had a scan this morning at 7 weeks plus 2 days and they couldn't detect a heartbeat nor could they see a yolk sac. Sizing a little small too so not a great sign. HCG levels quite high at 6,540 so another blood test booked for Thursday to see if HCG levels rising. Has anyone had a similarly gloomy prognosis at this stage and then had a positive outcome? TIA

I had a scan at 6+4 and they couldn't see anything at all, no baby nothing. They assumed I'd got my dates wrong. We had to wait 10 days for a follow up scan, which showed everything to be okay. My HCG levels weren't doing what they were supposed to either. High but not increasing as hoped.

I was bleeding heavily so naturally assumed the worst.

I know it's not the same situation as you, I am hoping to give you a bit of a lift...

Had results of today's blood test and HcG levels 7,863 - on Tuesday they were 6,540 so obviously not looking good. I have another scan booked for next Tuesday and will have another blood test then.
