Found out todya that I am PG with baby no 2.

Baby no is only 8 months old.

I haven't had a regular cycle since No 1 was born, so no real clue when I'm due. I just woke up this morning thinking 'I have to test as I have all the symptoms'

Haven't told the father (He's not here at the mo) - he's dad to No 1 too. Really not sure how he'll take it.

Have drs appt. tomorrow.

Feeling really scared...

Haven't even got No 1 sleeping through yet and not sure I'm ready to do it all again.

Just need to talk really.

I don't have anything helpful to say, really, except that I understand how scary this must feel (have a 4 month old myself) and I'm sorry you are having to cope with this alone - when's your DP home again?

Nine months is a long time when you're a baby. My sister accidentily fell pg for the third time when my nephew was about 7 months.

She copes just fine. Hoestly it's amazing how quickly children develop in nine months. Your nine month old will be sleeping through by then and eating mainly solids and more than likely ol enough to amuse him/herself for a while allowing you to see to baby.

It all seems really scary right now, but you will be fine.

I found myself pregnant when my dd (first child) was 2 months old, I ended up miscarrying. I have 3 now and ds2 didn't sleep through until recently and he's now 2. It takes a long time for babies to sleep through the night, they aren't designed that way.

I'm sure you'll cope. In the end I had 5 mc's between all my dc's but there is 20 months between dd and ds1, it's lovely. Ds2 is 3 years younger than ds1 and 5 years younger than dd and they get alone great.

I don't know how accurate they are but know you can get the pg tests which show how far gone you are...it might help if you know exactly what gap you're looking at.

My friend has an 11 month gap between her eldest 2 (not sure how she cud face sex so soon but anyway...), and 3 1/2 yrs between no.2 & 3. She says small gap was much easier, lots of people offering help, no clashes in school/playgroup routine and baby, and now aged 4 & 5 they entertain each other.

I think it's scary discovering pg with no.2 even if a 'good(!)' gap and baby planned. Also, in my experience, my 19 mnth gap has never been as bad as I anticipated. Good luck with it all...keep talking to evry1, I think that def.helps.

I fell pg with no3 much quicker than I though - I didn't have any periods since ds2 was born, he was 9 mo when fell pg and I used one of those expensive clearblue tests that tell you how far gone you are and it matched up quite well to the scan dates.

I have 19mo between ds1 and ds2 (very much planned) and will have 18mo between ds2 and dc3 - your no1 is still a baby but 9 mo is a long time and they will have changed so much by then. Both of mine where sleeping thro at that stage (prob the reason I got pg!) and then ahve periodically been through stages of being a nightmare of sleeping and then great again so you just never know.

it has felt scarey each time I've seen that blue line on a pg test, whether planned or not so don't feel alone - how are you doing today? when will you have chance to chat to dp?

I fell pregnant with my 4th child when dd was 5 months old. Was not planned at all I was actually due the next day after I found out to have a coil fitted. I cannot deny it is hard work and my children have never slept through the whole night till around 18 months, (enought to have some sleep tho). Even tho it is hard work it is so nice to see the children so close and they play lovely the gap is 14months.

Is there help about for you when the new one is due? If you don't and feel you need some help there are peole out there that are there to support you.

I cannot spk for others but I never thought I would be able to cope with loads but after having my children I love it. I have got 5 in total 4 of my own and a step daughter who I have brought up since she was two.
