Hi Im just over 38 weeks pregnant and im having bit of trouble having a wee

Its not so much that its painful to wee its more that it just sort of comes out really slowly like theres something blocking the wee actually coming out.

I have a long history of UTI and kidney problems and i was wondering if it could be this? I had a course of antibiotics abot 2 weeks ago to treat a water infection could i hae another one? or does this sound more like something to do wth pressure of the baby ? xx

It could be the pressure of the baby on your bladder.

Try weeing in the shower (should have namechanged for this!). For me, at least, standing up seems to release more of the bladder space.

I'm currently in an ok bladder phase, so I don't envy you.

To give hawkmoth some support I second weeing in the shower

Would prob try and get looked over by a doctor or midwife too though tedious as it may be at this late stage

This might not be relevant to you - but have you tried rocking to and fro while weeing? I found it helped enourmously with my difficulties at the end of my last pregnancy. It moves the baby about and lets the wee actually get out of your bladder
