Hi all,

My DP is 30 3 weeks before our first baby is due, and i know he would really love a party, i dont mind sorting everything out eg, food and decorating, it would give me something to do during mat leave. But i'm worried about the baby coming early and having to cancel it all..... any thoughts?

I would say go for it - it is probably a very small chance that the baby will decide to arrive just in time to coincide with the party but if it does leave your guests to get on with it and they will have extra reason to celebrate.

My OHs birthday is a week before our first is due and although we are not planning a party he does plan a rather drunken night out to celebrate. As this will be with friends who live an hour away from us i havent yet decided to go with him or stay home by myself. either way and whatever state he's in he knows he is expected to make sure he is at the hospital when i am in labour! It will all be dependent on when baby decides to arrive and if it is early then might not even be an issue.

You might even find the baby comes out in time to make it a double birthday party!
