Anyone out there with SPD?Just been diagnosed and already in agony. A friend and fellow sufferer I met on another forum and i both decided to try a new spd maternity support from lafeenoire maternity , its like a corset and really lovely to wear. Found we could get on with the normal things again like shopping!!We both highly recommend it once you have a substantial bump. Dosnt break the bank either They are also dead nice and you can email them and they actually write back to YOU!! Really refreshing!
The other thing is , does anyone know how to prevent it as this is my first pregnancy and if I thought I was definately going to suffer every time it might make me think twice about the next, I am youngish, fairly fit and not over weight so why me?

Interesting. I'm looking at a support belt and that's about the same price.

How big is it? I'm in 18 pants at the moment (16 weeks) and wonder if it'll fit round my arse hips.

I've got it sooner this time Never got round to strengthening my core muscles, which might have helped.

Hi
I suffered with SPD really bad in my last pregnancy (ended up in a wheelchair not fun with a 2 year old around!)
I started it this time round at 6 weeks and went to see an Osteopath and I have had no pain since - highly recommend it.
It is more common in young fit women apparently it is something to do with having more movement in your hips.
Worth doing a search on SPD on here as there has been a few threads on this recently.
You have my sympathies though its so painfull.
