Sorry if this makes anyone feel queasy with sentimentality...

I am trying to find a nice card to give to my husband on the birth of our baby.
Criteria-I want it to say husband/new baby..but we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl and I can't bring myself to line the coffers of any forever friends-type production. Looked online, looked everywhere....

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Maybe try MoonPig.

Have you tried moonpig (shameless plug as I love them!). You can make the card say whatever you want it to and in your own words.
DH got a card from DS on the day he was born - it made him cry (in a good way!)

x-post!

Thanks so much for the responses...I like them too but fancied something a bit less quirky and a bit more sort of...formal. I don't think DH 'gets' moonpig either...I think I am probably being a bit stubborn though..

I can't find the really gorgeous, silver 'Daddy' photo frame I have fantasised about either. I think I have set myself up for a fall!

Prince - try eBay - they have some really lovely ones on there!

Daddy Photo Frames

Haribosmummy · 02/03/2009 17:29

Or make one?

I think it's lovely. I didn't do it for my DH, cos he already has two DDs so it didn't seem that appropriate, but he bought presents for his DDs and me to mark the occasion.

I thought that was a lovely gesture.

Brilliant! Thanks so much everyone I really appreciate it. I was just about to give up!

Have you tried www.notonthehighstreet.com ? It's a fab website and quite often has things you don't see anywhere else.

Hi there
Thanks for your help; I wanted to update this in case anyone else is on the lookout for a new daddy card.

I took YSICB's advice and had great success.

Amanda personalised the card for me with my husband's name and my message and chosen pic on. It looks super. I really really wanted a card to give him when our baby is born-it is sort of the only 'birth' request I really 'want' and feels important-more than a birth plan! I am clearly losing the plot.

Anyway, thought it may be of interest.
