Lump on C section scar?

Hi there - not sure if this is the right board or not, but I had an emergency C section with DD1, and am 26 weeks now with DD2. I've just noticed a red lump at the end of the scar, about 1-2cm long, small but quite knobbly. Nothing on the actual surface of the skin, but seems to be a level or two underneath the skin. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Maybe the growing bump has put pressure on some of the stitches and they've popped? Slightly concerned as planning ahome VBAC and have of course had all the risks of scar rupture hammered into me (but I know the stitches inside are a different layer to the ones on the surface). I'll talk to my midwife when I see her in a couple of weeks of course, but would be interested if anyone else has had this...

Funny you mention it - I'm 23 wks with 2nd and noticed the very same thing today. I had an emergency section with DS1 too. I'm not overly worried but am pretty sure it wasn't there before. I'd be interested to know how you get on with your midwife - my next appointment isn't for another 5 weeks.

Hi wolfear - glad you're not too worried either, was wondering if I was being a little too relaxed! I'll let you know what the midwife says.
