Have a 5 month old baby and pregnant again

My baby turned 5 months on Monday and last night I found out I'm pregnant again - unplanned (condom split). I'm in a complete mess about what to do. Is anyone going through something similar? I find the idea of abortion pretty awful but I don't know if I can do it all again so soon and we so wanted to have a couple of years with our little girl before having a second. I have so many worries about going through with the pregnancy - money, strain on my relationship, whether it's the right thing for my daughter or if it will detract from her formative years. Selfishly, I was really looking forward to finally getting my body back when I quite breastfeeding in the not too distant future.

I wonder if there is any advice out there...

I am in the same boat. I found out yesturday and I have not been able to sleep tonight. There are alot of worries that are going through my head. My first preganancy was not an easy one.
Any words of wisdom?

I'm in the same boat. My daughter just turned 5 months last week and I just found out I'm pregnant today. They will most likely be 1 yr apart. I don't know how I will handle a newborn and 1 year old. I'm really sad about this one and I feel bad I even mentioned abortion to my boyfriend. He said we can do it and were a team and he will just busy his butt working for us. My pregnancy and delivery with her was very smooth but I'm not ready to go through it again :/

Hi @CarrieJ what have you finally decided cause i am in ditto situation. I went for my 5month baby girl vaccination and also got myself checked cause my periods were late found out i am pregnant and i am quite in shock cause it took so long to conceive my first one and now this news was like boom. I really dont know what to do? I am facing same situation as yours .....

Last year when my son was 4.5 mo ths old i became pregnant! I was so scared at how i would cope,guilt towards my son,then guolt not feeling initially excited abiut 2nd pregnancy etc so i know how you feel. It took me a few months to get over the shock and those feelings.
There is exactly one year and 11 days between my boy and girl. Not gonna lie,its been pretty hard at times but now i wpuldnt have it any other way! He is now 19 months and her 6.5 months,it does fet easier. Its chaos at times but so lovely watching them grow together.
So many advantages.....i found being pregnant with a baby quite good as i was still on maternity leave so i could actually rest/sleep when baby slept....cant imagine being pregnant running around after and lifting a toddler! I went back to work for 8 weeks so my son was in childcare and we still keep him there 4 days a week so i have to one time with my girl. We dont have any family close by to help out so it makes it that bit harder but my husband ia good at helping out with housework,bath time etc.
Youre still in baby mode with the 2nd and everything comes to you a bit easier and youre more laid back which helps.
Someone said to me why walk through fire when you can run through it lol.
Some days i feel guilty if i have kids tv on too much for my son and its hard when the two of them need me at the exact same time but no matter what the age gap this may be the case.
The days can seem long but the years seem short so im juat winging it as i go along but have two happy wee kids and am so glad we have the shorter gap.
