Thirst can be a sign of diabetes, and gestestional diabetes is fairly common in pregnancy.

I would make an appt with your mw and have your blood sugar checked if it is raised they can do a glucose tolerance test to see if you need any further investigation/ support.

Gestional diabetes does impact on the pregnancy iirc with larger birthweight babies and complications stabalising blood sugars after the birth, so definitely worth investigating if only to put your mind at rest.

Even if you have had your blood sugar checked previously, it would would be worth getting it repeated since your symptoms have changed.

Good luck x

It is normal to be extremely thirsty in pregnancy as you are producing more blood. Have you been thirsty at other stages of your pregnancy?

If you're healthy with all the check the MW does I wouldn't worry. I usually drink 2-3 pints of water a day but at 32 weeks pregnant have nearly doubled that! And I'm not weeing much more than normal either. Completely different to my first pregnancy.

am thirsty all teh time - only 20 weeks. Keep a bottle by the bed and easily get through 3litres in a day. Pee lots... no medical reason and just in need of water....
