So worried about upcoming scan

Back in October, I had a missed m/c at 10 weeks. The embryo never made it past 5 weeks in development...but hung on for another 5 weeks before making it's exit.

I am now about 10 weeks pg. I had a private scan done at 7+4 which showed a lovely beating HB. I now have an NHS scan next week when I'll be 11+1. I am just so worried. Last time I had all the symptoms of pg until the day before I m/c. This time the symptoms are stronger but I still feel worried that the scan will be negative.

So my question...if a HB is detected at 7+3, what are the chances of everything being ok at 11 weeks? I know I am probably worrying unnecessarily but I can't help it.

Thank you.

Hi

First of all, congratulations!

I don't know about HB at 7+3, and I know saying this might not help, but try not to worry. Look after yourself, try not to stress. I know it feels like a lifetime... just hang in therex x x x

Sorry, although I dont have the answer, but just wanted to say my situation is very similar to mine.

I had a mmc in sept at 11 weeks. Am now pregnant again. I was lucky enough to have a scan at 7+3 at my EPAU where i was treated for my mc, where we also saw the heartbeat. Am 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow and not due to have scan until i am 12+3 on 17th march.

All i seem to do is worry that when we do go for the scan, nothing will be there Like you, my symptoms are also stronger this time, but it doesnt stop me worrying....

But usernametaken just wanted to wish you luck and hope that everything works out for you...

Thank you for your replies.
Sabs- I'm so pleased you got an early scan, mine said no as did my doctor- I apprently need at least 4 m/c to get an early scan! Shocking really. Good luck to you, I can fully understand your worries.
Thanks again.

After seeing a hb the stats are very high. iirc from pg after mc thread I was on couple of years ago its about 95%

Obv stats aren't everything, and someone needs to be that 5% blah blah but odds deffo in yr favour

Hope it all goes well
